REBEL ACCESS tv During The Month Of August
August was huge in Chicago with Warped, Augustfest, Mayhem, Lollapalooza, Masters of Metal, and a few local showcases all this month. A big thanks to all that were involved in the flurry of bands that came through town in August especially Amanda, Amy, Brian, Charles, Chip, Frank, George, Jenn, John, Leo, Loana, Mark, and Tom. I can’t thank you all enough for your contributions and help getting me into these events so that I can turn around and share it back with all the fans. All the bands were extremely kind to both my host and I. I do my best to keep all the fans smiley whenever I see them. I provide water to those in the front few rows. I took video footage of them having fun and put myself in harms way in these huge Mayhem pits just to capture the smile on these fans. I also captured and returned items of clothing, especially shoes under the stage for those who had lost one or both shoes or sandals. I May Have Met Over Three Million People During August 2008
For those of you that keep up on my myspace blogs at http://www.myspace.com/rebel_access_tv then you already know about my adventures as I write to say hi to all those I meet. From the Mega Concerts, to the city festivals and most recently the Chicago Air and water show that they estimated a few 3.1 people attended. The Air and Water show was a three-day event. I was there with my REBEL Access tv "IN YOUR FACE" shirt, and my usual garb including my heavy biker chains, leather gloves, and studded bracelets. I always listen to MY IPOD as loud as it will go with all my REBEL ACCESS bands blaring in my ears when I rollerblade or bike the lakefront and this was no exception. This way I can’t hear people complain or basically say anything to me. I can only see them through my dark sunglasses as they shake their heads in disbelief and look at me as if I am a crazy person. My long ass blond hair whips about, as my chains jingle while I weave in and out of people and obstacles of course saying excuse me, all this while I mosh and thrash my head about as I am in my own little world. Now of course it appears that I am out of control, and as with anything I do people might get hurt, while I am handing out thousands upon thousands of flyers and music samplers. I came to the conclusion that those three days alone, I must have shook about 2.5 million out of the 3.1 million people that attended that event. The other half a million were from the other Mega Concerts and festivals that I attended. Thanks to Charles and Mike From Nuclear Blast, Jenn at Metal Blade, and John and George from Century for the music samplers this summer. I can’t stress enough the value of these samplers for these fans. I constantly hear feedback about the samplers, and how it was me through a smapler that got them turned on to this band or that band. Thus my persistence to all of you on this mailing list so that I can receive more and more of these valuable marketing tools. At all the events that I attended this summer, I never once saw anybody else handing out free music samplers. I realize you all have street teams but I challenge each and everyone of your entire team to hand out as many music samplers as I do on any given weekend. I am not looking to win a contest or anything like that and it is often difficult for me to take pictures, but I assure you the combination of the Music sampler and me handing them out while talking to each person really do get your metal bands in the right hands.

Here are some pictures I took of some of the happy fans that received Sampler Cd’s. You will notice I don’t have pictures of my younger fans or too many girls cause I look creepy enough, and often get asked to leave or get in some sort of trouble for handing out stuff. Can you just imagine how fast I would be asked to leave if a longhaired {usually sweaty} biker chain wearing weirdo was taking pictures of small children and young girls holding up a CD in your neighborhood?

"So much tape, so little studio time"
August and December are the two worst months to receive any studio time. Since I am well aware of this, I have been doing an annual Back To School special every September. Instead of the regular format I play back some of the fan favorite episodes of featured bands. No Music Video shows just Featured Bands all of September. I already have all October shows done and tagged for playback. Any editing I do today won’t air then until November. I have a few things I need to clean up so I can be prepared for the new format of the show to begin in 2009. So during my next 12-hour marathon studio session this Friday. I will decide if both November and December will require all band episodes so I can clean up 2007, and 2008 shows that I still have not aired. So much to think about when I am in the studio this week.
Coming Up Next on REBEL ACCESS tv
I plan on touring the entire USA the month of September. I will have very limited or no access to my websites or my Email as I will be driving an 18-wheeler with an old High School friend as we criss cross the country. If I am close enough to you I will drop by if of course I can swing the 18 wheeler in your neighborhood.. I actually am looking to leave the week of September 8t, I will have my cell phone wilh me and will probably have zero bars. I will do my best to answer your requests before then, and again when I return. Safety is my middle name for those of you concerned. Before I leave, I will have created and hand submitted copies of my Tv show for all tv executives in the Chicago area. Plus yes, get one out to you Doug.
I have been on a waiting list for over four years for my next 58 cities. I talked to the director of programming and was told there are still two people in front of me. So I am keeping my fingers crossed that these other 58 cities will happen in 2009 for me. AT&T has been working on my high speed internet since Feb, and I have been told I now need new underground cables. I understand this will happen in September, so I may be able to launch the new improved website in Roctober when I return from my cross country trip. September is my annual BACK TO SCHOOL BAND SHOWS on REBEL ACCESS tv.
